A rare natural phenomenon turns one of Austria’s most beautiful hiking trails into a 10 meter-deep lake, for half the year.
Located at the foot of the Hochschwab Mountains, in Tragoess, Styria, Green Lake is one of the most bizarre natural phenomena in the world. During the cold winter months, this place is almost completely dry, and used as a country park where hikers love to come and spend some time away from urban chaos. But as soon as temperatures rise, the snow and ice covering the mountaintops begin to melt, and the water pours down, filling the basin below with crystal-clear water.
Water levels go from one-two meters at most, to over 10 meters, in the early summer. The waters of Green Lake are highest in June, when this extraordinary place is invaded by divers, curious to see what a mountain park looks like underwater. Fish swimming over wooden benches, a grass-covered bottom, trees, roads, roads and even bridges create a surreal setting that feels like it belongs on dry ground. That’s because for half of the year, that’s exactly where it’s at.

About:

Hia i'm bethan and i'm 15 years old but going to be 16 in july. I live in newport (south wales), it quite shit here so as soon as i can i will be moving. I'm in year 11 going on to sith form, i'm crapping myself about all the exams i have coming up and how much stuff i'm going to have to do with the a levels.

The way i spend my time is by running, i love it i know it sounds sad but i do it gives me time to think and a release of all my stesse. the best this that has come out of my running is that i have made a bestfriend, she is amazing and we arent going to let any competition come between us, i hope. she to important to me o let running come between us.<3

The people i care about the most in my friends, they are the best thing i could ever have and i love them all so much that its going to hurt so bad when we all have to go are separate ways but i'm going to try my hardest to keep them close to me. They have always been there for me and i would do anything for them. I dont know what i would of done without them. I dont think i'm ever going to find anyone else that is going to match up to any of them. If they see this i just want them to know i love you guys<3

My best guy friend is the most amazing person that i could of ever met, he has always been there for me and i have done the same for him. We always have something to tell each other even if its something stupid. We always laugh at each other by the way that friends do, i dont have anything that i would find from him, i know that i can be myself with him, he does something that i cant help by laugh at. I never want to loose him, hes to important to me. Reading though this is it sounds like hes more than a friend to me but hes not hes just my best guy friend and I love him <3

The last thing i want to write about is how i hate my life so far because of my brother and perents, i put on a smile so that i dont have to tell anyone.
